This young mother elephant, Peggy, and her calf Gregory, live on my living room window sill. Does anyone know why tradition suggests ornamental elephants should be placed to face the door into the room?
They are placed towards the exit, as a elephant that cannot see the exit may beocme panicked at the thought of being trapped. Nevermind that they are bad luck anyway as the trunks are pointing down.
In 'real-life' I work for the NHS, the rest of my time largely being taken up with photography and associated topics. I enjoy trying different things with photography and would rather take a dozen crap shots than miss that one 'million dollar image'.

ReplyDeleteOh dear - didn't know that about the downward trunks, but thanks for the info on the positioning regarding doors.
