Morning Sun

A "much earlier in the day than usual" post today as I want to avoid any potential access problems later on when I'm away from my connection.

The morning sun created a nice effect on the brickwork of the flats across the road. I also like the sharply defined shadow of the pedestrian striding along the pavement.

Damn - one minute late!

I love how images like this of small things feel like they're big enough to step into.

This one's a little soft - not bad for a compact though.

Peppers

Peppers - they really are very interesting fruits to look at.

Even in mono they're quite impressive.

Jack Frost

The ice was a bit of a surprise this morning. I noticed the patterns it made on the roof of my car as I prepared to scrape ice from the windscreen.

Sky & Clouds

I liked this cloud formation and the colours in the sky over the general area of Rosneath Point visible from my front windows when I got in from work tonight.

The water has some nice patterns too and I love the "burst" effect of the street light just coming into the bottom right of the frame.

Another Food Offering........

I do follow pursuits other than food, but here's another culinary delight.

This time it's a homage to the Chinese culture, this being their new year celebrations. A nice little stir-fry of: ham; yellow pepper; onion; carrot and peas with some rather nice noodles.

Does it look better than the haggis?

The Bard's Day

Despite being Ayrshire dwellers, we're not massive Burns scholars, but we do usually mark the day with a haggis, served with tatties and neeps. This was a traditionally prepared one, cooked in a lamb's stomach.
